I am told by reliable sources that these computers will Interchange with all
E30 325I/IS/IX (and some 5 series cars)

The first part of the Bosch number should be 0261200 the last three digits
(which is the numbers normally used to ID these things) can be the following
153 173, 380, 524, 525, or 526, those are the safe ones. I also think 154
and 351 will work.

I have been warned to stay away from the 153 box (and probably the 154) as
these are the early versions of Motronic computers (version 1.1) the others
are Motronic Version 1.3 which is better and more reliable.
